I am a writer, painter, designer, graphic artist, and musician with a deep and connecting love for all living things, including pieces of wood, rocks,
birds, moss, beach glass, deer, people . . . All Life and Nature speaks to me
as a vital expression of the Voice and Creative Heart of the Universe. By
whatever name you choose to call it - The Great Mystery, The All of All, God,
Life . . . I am in love with It's elegant Grace.
As a singer-songwriter for more than thirty years, I toured professionally in the '70s
and early '80s, performing at many clubs, coffeehouses, colleges and universities, including the University of Michigan, Vanderbilt University, the University of North Carolina, and numerous other venues in the Southeast and Midwest. I have several albums and am currently making some of my music available for listening at Reverbnation.
In my thirties I became aware that my creativity was a Godsend, a gift of necessity that allowed me to both work out the pain I'd endured as a child and find joy in the spiritual realm that I knew existed when I was in nature, when I wrote or painted, and when I composed music. I realized, too, that the Creativity came not from me, but through me, and heightened my connection, for which I am deeply grateful. No longer able to paint or play music comfortably, my creativity is now expressed in large part through writing and within my relational work. That is to say, the love and joy I experience working with my clients - such amazing human beings - is akin to what I experienced the first two thirds of my life through the Arts. It is humbling to work so intimately with the hearts, minds and spirits of those who seek me out.
Ultimately, whatever else it is that I may do with and for my extraordinary brothers and sisters, I just love them back into their innate wholeness. For Love, as I hope you know, is the ultimate act of Creativity. I wish you peace and all good things.
